Growing up in Cascade Hanover, Jamaica, E. Nanccii Hume Folk founder and now President of Le Wouri Cosmetics never forgot how her Grand Mother used Leaf Of Life, Feva Grass and Cerassee, natural herbs for medicinal purposes and also on her face for healthy glowing skin.

Years later, snow bound in her Yonkers New York apartment Nanccii created a foundation in her kitchen from orange peel and talc using a secret recipe an old Indian had given her sister Tanya. Wearing her newly created foundation her co-workers started complimenting her on how beautiful her face was. They wanted to know what she was using and insisted on getting whatever it was. After she told them, they kept prodding her to go in to the Cosmetic business. She finally gave it serious thought after her good friend, Louise Edimo a former editor for Vogue in Paris insisted.

Tossing her Nurses shoes down the disposal chute of the Hospital she worked then, Nanccii decided to go for it. After contacting her sister in Nigeria for help they tried to persuade retired world renown Chemist to help her get started. He was reluctant, but, when Nanccii mentioned the idea of using Leaf Of Life, Feva Grass and Cerasse, herbs from her native country Jamaica to a start a natural Skin Care line he jumped at the idea because for years he wanted to but never got the opportunity.

After experiencing and overcoming a variety of obstacles they came out with a Natural Skin Care and Makeup line.

Nanccii started out selling them from the trunk of her 1972 Oldsmobile at New York neighborhood Beauty Salons, Colleges, the Jamaican Consulate and Hospitals including the Hospital where she previously worked.

Women started raving about there new found beauty and word began to spread. Recognizing the need to expand Nancci convinced Winston Anderson a fellow Jamaican to join her mission. They teamed up and started recruiting and training Beauty Consultants to introduce Le Wouri at in Home Cosmetic Parties where the products were enthusiastically received. Many of the Customers jumped at the idea of becoming Beauty Consultants and soon Le Wouri Cosmetic Parties were being held over the USA and abroad.

Nanccii later decided it was time to introduce Le Wouri in Jamaica. She enlisted the help of the late Dorothy Brown a government Representative with the responsibility of attracting businesses to Jamaica was finally established at Twin Gates Plaza in Kingston Jamaica, W.I. in 1982.

Recognizing the changes in the Marketplace Winston Anderson then Marketing Manager for Le Wouri established Beauty Sensation.com as an independent Marketing company introducing Le Wouri on the Internet.
